Possessing an eclectic range and a purpose-driven mission, Evelynroze is a 24-year-old singer/songwriter, actress, advocate, and multi-creative whose artistry charts a course through pain, rebirth, love, and resilience. Her music has been described as having an early-2000s rock feel intertwined with country soul, while drawing from a wide range of nostalgic influences to create a sound that is rebellious, cinematic, and deeply vulnerable. At its core, her music has connected with many navigating their own journey of healing, becoming, and learning to rise above.
Overview
Early Movements
Evelyn doesn’t remember a time when music wasn’t present in her life. Raised on the classic rock and country her parents played on the radio, she was always singing along, dancing around the house, and finding her way into the world of music. Around the age of five, Evelyn was introduced to musical theater, opening the door to her love of performing and planting the early dream of becoming an artist.
School, however, became a challenging environment. Diagnosed with a learning disability and placed on an IEP at a young age, Evelyn experienced firsthand the stigma often faced by students who learn differently, including the assumption that they are somehow less capable than their peers. The pressure she encountered from both teachers and students took a significant toll on her confidence and self-esteem. Around the age of 10, Evelyn began writing music as a way to process what she was experiencing. What started as an outlet became something much more: a place where she could make sense of her emotions, express herself freely, and begin discovering the power of her own voice.
Where It All Began
Finding Her Voice
Unfortunately, pursuing music and taking her dream seriously only made Evelyn a bigger target. She was bullied for her singing, ambitions, the music she loved, the way she dressed, and for what felt like simply existing as herself. The bullying, harassment, and rumors followed her from middle school into her early college years. Evelyn has shared that in middle school, her songbook was once thrown into a toilet. Her high school classmates would play recordings of her singing and laugh, that she was repeatedly called a “talentless joke," and randomly photographed for ridicule. In college, peers spread rumors to discredit her.
A Testament to Resilience
In 2019, Evelyn began independently releasing music while building a presence on TikTok through content centered around music history, fashion history, and sharing her music. Despite consistently creating, Evelyn was constantly met with discouraging comments and stagnation.
In 2022, Evelyn began speaking more openly about the stories and meanings behind her songs. This led her to share personal experiences with bullying, the challenges she faced growing up, and the ongoing process of healing. A comedic-style skit inspired by one of her personal experiences unexpectedly went viral, connecting with thousands of people and bringing a new level of attention to both her music and her message.
In the years that followed, Evelyn began gaining recognition within her local music community. She went on to receive multiple Worcester Music Awards, including Best New Artist, Best Live Act, and Best Female Vocalist. In 2025, she received a Boston Music Awards nomination for Country Artist of the Year, marking another significant milestone in a journey that had begun years earlier with little more than a dream and willingness to keep creating.
Recently
In 2025, Evelyn graduated from The Hartt School of Music with a degree in Performing Arts Management. Around the same time, she was selected for Plaid Dog’s Rising Artist campaign, where she recorded her debut EP, Trials of the Flame. Within months of its release, the EP’s song “Flame” began gaining traction within her TikTok community, becoming her first song to reach that level of momentum and introducing her music to an even wider audience. In 2026, Evelyn was invited to play a Nashville writers' round, which helped further her move to Nashville.
